Spending the Holidays With People I Want to Punch in the Throat by Jenn Mann is extremely funny.

Jenn Mann, has a blog called People I want to Punch in the Throat and it is very popular. Even won the 2014 Bloggie Award.

But this time, Jen is getting real specific with who she wants to punch in the throat.

She tackles the holidays with gripes about cat suit wearing Mommas, elves on the shelves, and broke down, drunk Santas.

My Reaction:

I pat myself on the back for not eating or drinking while reading this book. So many parts made me laugh suddenly and uncontrollably.

Jenn Mann is reminiscent of the popular humorist from the 80s, Erma Bombeck.

I found myself agreeing with a lot of what Jen said, and it is one of the main reasons me and my hubby do not deal with a lot of people over the holidays.

Especially those animal lovers:

“You can always tell which animal lover baker is going to have hair in her cookie.”

Hilarious.

Jenn Mann seems like someone you could hang out with but be warned, she does not have filters over her brain. She says exactly what she means.

And her hubs?(what she names her husband) Oh gosh! I think we need to pray for him. Towards the end of her book, I was shouting, “Really Hubs! Really!? You’re weak because you have not had lunch?

I will not even get started on her Mother’s Day gift. You have to read that one for yourself.

Those poor children.

At least their mom is a gifted writer and their dad loves brand new TVs.
