What if you had the power to amend choices you made in the past? Would you do it even if it changed everything?*
“I was born in a bolt of lightning in the banks of Bittersweet Creek” begins Mercy Land on the first page. From there, the reader learns about Mercy and her parents and her need for independence as a woman in the 1930s. She takes on a job as a “go to” girl at the Banner, a local news company in the Bay City. She feels she was born for something more and yet goes with the motions of her job, working next to Doc, her Editor-in-Chief.
One day a book appears from out of nowhere and now Mercy and her boss has to make some choices. Tough choices which can affect the entire Bay City and all of its residents. The book maps the lives of everyone in Bay City and this is the one time in which the only printing they will do will be to print the people’s stories onto their hearts(thirsty for more of this article?)
